Refund policy

If a photo you bought from idphoto.us is rejected by a government agency, we refund 100% of what you paid. Learn the requirements and how to request one.

Last updated

All of our tools and downloads are currently free, so there is nothing to refund today. We plan to start charging for downloads, and this policy is how refunds will work once we do. We'll say so clearly on the site before anyone is charged.

Our 100% money-back guarantee

We stand behind our photos. If a photo you bought from idphoto.us is rejected by a government agency for a passport, visa, or ID application, we'll refund 100% of your original purchase price. No partial credits and no deductions.

What we need from you

To keep things fair and fast, we ask for three things:

  • Timing: request your refund within 30 days of your original purchase.
  • Proof of rejection: a screenshot or copy of the official notice showing the agency rejected the photo.
  • Your purchase details: the email address you used to buy, or your transaction ID.

No hidden deductions

When your photo is rejected for official use, we refund the full amount you paid, every time. We don't subtract payment processing fees or service charges; we absorb those costs ourselves.

Processing time and method

  • Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days of approval. Your bank or card issuer may take a few more days to show the credit.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method used for the purchase. We can't send refunds to a different card or account.

Other refund reasons

Because our photos are delivered as immediate digital downloads, we review refund requests for other reasons — such as changing your mind, an accidental duplicate purchase, or choosing another service — case by case. We're happy to work with you, so reach out and explain what happened.

Government fees and printing costs

Our refund covers only what you paid idphoto.us. Passport, visa, and other application fees are paid to the government agency handling your application, and they're generally non-refundable even if a photo is rejected. Contact that agency with questions about its fees. Likewise, if you print your photo at a pharmacy, photo lab, or online printer, contact them about any problems with that order.

If you were charged by someone claiming to be us

If a website, app, or person who said they were idphoto.us charged you, and the charge doesn't match a purchase on idphoto.us, contact your bank or card issuer about it and please let us know so we can warn others.

How to request a refund

Send us a refund request through our contact page. Include your purchase email or transaction ID and, for a rejected photo, your proof of rejection. We aim to reply quickly and make the process as painless as possible.
