What a photo checker does
A checker looks at a photo you already have and tells you which of the published rules it meets: size and file format, how big your head is in the frame, where your eyes sit, whether you face the camera, and whether the background is plain and the right color. It doesn't change your photo. If something fails, each result explains what to fix, and you can retake the photo or send it to the passport photo editor.
How checkers handle your photo
Checks run in your browser, so your photo stays on your device while it is checked. A photo is only uploaded if you choose to have it fixed, and the checker tells you before that happens. A checker is a guide, not an official decision: the agency that receives your application decides whether a photo is accepted.
